: So what you mean is that God created a Law which was immpossible to fulfill, no matter what a person did it would be immpossible to ever get into heaven unless they went and sacrificed an animal and lit it on fire.

Not quite. Actually, what I'm saying is that the old testament law could not be fulfilled. That law was not some arbitrary set of rules set up by God because he found them amusing. They were the moral and spiritual laws which were in existence from the beginning. This entire discussion is based on the Bible, and as such the assertion can be made that there are certain absolutes in the universe. One of these is morality. Right and wrong. Good and evil. The Old Law was put in place so that man might more fully understand the nature of morals and sin.

:Anyways, on to the problem at hand.

Agreed.

: Law. You try and say that as time passes the word of God changes and that the Laws of the land are to be looked at before the word of God. At least that is what I am gathering from your quotes.

Actually, I've since talked to you about this in person and explained what these verses meant. If anyone else percieved these things, as did TJ, please contact me and I'll try to explain.

:You say that if the Law of the land conflicts with the Laws of the Bible then you must not conflict with either and do neither.

Uhhh.... no, I didn't. I would contend that you follow God first. Part of God's law is to follow the laws of the land. This, however, only stretches so far. As a Christian, one sees God's law as the supreme law, and as such one would only follow the laws of the land as long as they do not contend with God's law. If they are at odds, one always sides with God.

:So if it suddenly became illegal for a man to have sex with a woman and all that was allowed was homosexual sex then we must be celibate for all time, or at least until the human race dies out. That was what i gathered from what you said, but I do not believe that God wanted us to die out like you said.

TJ, I corrected your assertions, and as such I feel no need to touch on the conclusions you drew mistakenly. And TJ, my friend, you are a nut...

: He spent all of this time to make and create us so do you think that he would want us to all die and go to hell if a law suddenly said so? No. I don't think so. Why would we all go to hell? Because we allowed ourselves to die. We commited suicide which is strickly forbidden. Even if it was indirectly, we killed the planet which would make us murderers which would send us to Hell for all eternity.

LOL, seek professional help. That one was such a wild tangent, I can't even follow it. My money says you couldn't even follow it, if you came back to read it again.

: So what we would have to do is break the law in favor of Gods Law. But, if we did that then we would be beaking Gods Law and we would still go to Hell.

: What this means is that while in either case one would go to Hell, neither case is right.

I've foiled you yet again, TJ =P
Between this and computer science I'm just ahead of the game on all fronts. Anyway, I'll let this thread die now...
