I did a survey in my 11 grade speech class and I was surprised at the ignorance of my classmates. When I asked 'Do you think as a citizen, you have the right to prevent a couple from marrying because you don't agree with their sexual preference?' one kid, at a loss, simply scribbled, 'I think homosexuality is an idea satan came up with. I am not gay and I certainly don't like the thought of being gay but that has nothing to do with it. I don't agree with tatooing one's body either, but I'm not going to pass a law that say's no one my get them done!
