: I am a heterosexual female, and I would just like to say, that homosexuals have as much right to get married as anyone else. Only God can judge, and I have no time for the bigotted narrow-minded people who think that they have the right to decide what is a sin and what is not. Homosexual people are humans too, and they have the same right to happiness as "normal" heterosexuals.
I am also a heterosexual female. Recently I have had to write a research paper for an English class proving that there should be no discriminatioon to homosexuals in marriage. I found this very hard to do because of religious views that I hold. However, the more I thought on this subject, the more I came to realise that religion held no part in the argument. If this subject is looked on by a strictly constitutional level, it is clear that homosexuals should have the same right as all other citizens of the United States. Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This is what our country stands for. This is what has made our country a world power. If we deny homosexuals any right we will be denying them the unalienable rights. We need to rise above criticism and belief systems and unite in one common practice of following our Constitution.
