My church used the inability to marry against me, saying that my lifestyle was fornication because I couldn't marry my partner. However, they are unwilling to lobby for marriage rights. It's a lack of desire to help. I grew up in that church, I haven't been back since... It's hard to abanden a lifetime of education but even harder to abanden the way you are.
